Texas S Xavier Filsaime hit Diego Pavia pretty hard on the sideline, but the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Filsaime wasn't warranted at all by the refs. It was an excellent acting job by Pavia and the Commodores' sideline to make it look like Filsaime drove the quarterback into the ground out of bounds.

It was obvious that Pavia held onto Filsaime as the two were going down. Even the announcers explained how Pavia was hanging onto the Texas defender and dragging him to the ground with him.

Following the initial hit, Vanderbilt's sideline erupted and surrounded Filsaime. A couple members of the Commodores' coaching staff even got a little heated and got in the face of Longhorns players, which could even result in a fine following the game if the NCAA looks into it.

Luckily, the extra fifteen yards that were awarded to Vanderbilt didn't result in much of anything.
