The Texas Longhorns are just a day away from their final regular-season series to cap off their first year in the SEC, but the matchup is against a familiar foe. The Horns are set to take on the Oklahoma Sooners in a three-game series before both teams head to their first-ever SEC Tournament.

However, despite the series not even in motion, Texas head coach Jim Schlossnagle is already making sure his team is set for the postseason.

While speaking as a guest on AM 1300 The Zone, Schlossnagle let it slip that he doesn't have a set pitching rotation for the three-game series yet, but he does have an idea of what he's going to do in the upcoming conference tournament and the subsequent NCAA Tournament as well.

Texas has one of the best bullpens in the country, allowing just 205 runs over 50 games and earning 461 strikeouts so far this season. From freshman phenom Dylan Volantis, who comes in as a relief pitcher, to veteran right-hander Ruger Riojas, who has earned eight wins, the Longhorn pitchers are difficult to hit against.

One major problem that Texas has faced as of late is a hitting slump, scoring just eight total runs in the three-game series against the Florida Gators, which they ended up losing two games to one.

While the Sooners aren't one of the top-tier teams in the SEC, the Longhorns desperately need a few wins before they head to their first postseason tournament in their new conference.

Currently, Texas stands at No. 3 in the national rankings, trailing LSU and Florida State. However, the Horns are the No. 1 team in the SEC standings, with a 20-7 record against conference opponents, two games ahead of the Arkansas Razorbacks, who are currently in second.

The Longhorns currently hold an overall record of 40-10. The Sooners are just 32-17 overall. Texas and Oklahoma will throw out the first pitch at 6:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, May 15, in Norman, OK.
