Professional golfer and former Texas Longhorn Scottie Scheffler joined ESPN College GameDay in Austin as the No. 1 Horns were preparing to take on the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs.

With the top-five matchup looming overhead and the Longhorn fans flooding the lawn in front of the UT Tower, Scheffler, alongside the GameDay crew, picked who he thought would win and lose matchups throughout the day.

When it came down to choosing between the Longhorns and Bulldogs, Scheffler stuck with his alma mater and the rest of the desk picked Texas too. Lee Corso, in his return to the show, after a two-week hiatus, donned Hook'Em's headgear as fireworks shot up from the top of the tower.

As burnt orange smoke wafted into the Austin air, the Texas crowd went crazy and the Longhorns received a clean sweep from the College GameDay cast.

Scheffler golfed for the Horns from 2014 to 2017 before going pro after graduating from the McCombs School of Business in 2018. He has since won two Masters green jackets (2022 & 2024) and finished second at the 2022 US Open and 2023 PGA Championship. The former Longhorn is currently No. 1 on the PGA Tour and has been since March 27, 2022.

Texas and Georgia are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC and ESPN+.
