According to the Southeastern Conference, SEC football not only dominated on the field last weekend, but it also dominated viewership as well.

There were a lot of exciting, close SEC games in week 12, beginning with Texas A&M's improbable, record-setting comeback against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the early window. The Aggies were down all game long but then scored 28 unanswered points to come back and win 31-30.

In the mid-day window, Oklahoma defeated a surging Alabama team that was much healthier than the Sooners. It was an incredibly back-and-forth game for the entire afternoon, and in the end, the Sooners were able to upset the Crimson Tide 23-21.

Last but certainly not least, the late window held the clash between Texas and Georgia. Though things got really bad towards the end of the game, it was incredibly competitive up until the 4th quarter, when the Bulldogs were able to pull away and win 35-10.

These three conference games led all CFB viewership in all three windows on the day, which is insane.

With how things have been going for the Longhorns in 2025, it's kind of surprising that the game had that many viewers. One thing that it does speak for though is the overall health of college football and it's fans. There were times when people wouldn't watch anyone else besides "their" teams on any given weekend except for bowl games.

It's great to see that over 10 million people tuned in to both the Oklahoma/Alabama and Texas/Georgia games last weekend.

Sometimes it's hard to gauge just how well things are going for college football, and it's statistics like this that allows everyone to breathe a sigh of relief from time to time.
