Steve Sarkisian did a good job of summarizing how the night went with some of his post-game quotes.

It was a long night for Texas fans in week 12 as the Longhorns played an incredibly undisciplined and frustrating game against a team that was surging as a legitimate College Football Playoff contender.

All credit goes to the Bulldogs as they were just simply the better team in the matchup, playing well in all three phases of the game. On the flip side, it was the opposite for Steve Sarkisian and Texas. It was incredibly hard for the team to get anything going in any part of the game, besides on defense, where they played fairly well for the majority of the matchup.

Following the nightmarish performance by the Longhorns in their biggest game of the season, Sarkisian said what all Texas fans were thinking.

"We just couldn't put it all together. We couldn't tie offense, defense, special teams all together tonight."

This perfectly describes what happened against the Bulldogs. Nothing seemed to go right on a consistent basis for the team, and the Longhorns seemingly self-destructed in the 4th quarter.

"It's a frustrating loss. I would say that it's frustrating because you feel like you're prepared to play. I really did feel like our players were really engaged and ready to go. I thought our staff was. Everybody was. Like I said, it's a 14-10 game against a really good team on the road. Let's go play the 4th quarter, and us just not playing the fourth quarter anywhere close to what the standard is around here is very disappointing and frustrating."

Texas' defense allowed Georgia to score 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter, and it was obvious that the Longhorns were feeling the mental toll throughout that stretch. Arch Manning looked utterly defeated on the sidelines and it was hard to watch. Manning played a very good game with all things considered. He was trying to do everything by himself, and yet he couldn't due to the number of drops by the pass-catchers and morale-shattering penalties.

Though a loss like this is undoubtedly hard to get over, there's still a little bit of hope left as Texas still has the opportunity to play Texas A&M in two weeks. With how highly they're ranked in the CFP rankings, there's still a small chance that the Longhorns can get into the playoffs with a big win against their in-state rivals.
