The Longhorns defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks in week 13 by a score of 52 to 37, but it was a fairly close game up until the third quarter. Steve Sarkisian must've had a heck of a halftime speech because Texas came out of the half with a head full of steam.

The Longhorns scored 21 points in the third quarter, which pretty much suffocated Arkansas early on in the second half. The offense looked incredibly good all night long, especially the passing game. It was such a sigh of relief as Arch Manning and Co. looked completely out of gas against Georgia last weekend.

After some thought that the Longhorns were finally "done" after the heartbreaking loss in week 12, they came back and dominated a sneaky good Razorbacks team.

Following tonight's win, Steve Sarkisian expressed some of his feelings on the team's bounceback performance:

"Really proud of our team. It's not easy when you get knocked down and you've got to get back up off the mat to continue to fight. As I told the team downstairs from Monday, they responded. It was not easy for them either, but they fought back."

Texas' College Football Playoff hopes are most likely over. The team could've easily just laid down and coasted out the next two games of the 2025 season and settled with the idea that "there's always next year". The fact that they didnt, and are still fighting like it's week 4 says a lot about the heart and soul of this team.

Despite the 2-8 record heading into today's game, Arkansas was a really good team. They were within three points of beating Tennessee, Texas A&M, and LSU this year, and continue to have one of the best offenses in all of college football.

Tonight's score could've easily been flipped if Texas had given up. This is such a feel-good win for Texas football and it's fanbase.
