Texas faced off against the reigning national champion Ohio State Buckeyes in an enormous revenge game, and unfortunately, it ended in the same result as their last matchup.

The tough loss prompted a number of Longhorn coaches and players to verbalize some of their thoughts and feelings about how the game went.

"Lot of credit to Ohio State. They played a really disciplined game. Zero turnovers, only two penalties. They took advantage of their opportunities when they got them, so credit to them. This game will serve as a really good measuring stick of where we're at, where we need to improve, and the things we're good at."

"Getting turnovers, we had zero today. It's our goal to get at least three. We didn't execute today. Ultimately, we still gave up points. It wasn't perfect. I'm excited for Monday and Tuesday to get back because this isn't the end of our journey at all. We have so much more football to play, and I think it'll be an excellent run."
Ethan Burke

"We've got to score more points at the end of the day. If we can hold a team like that to 14, we've got to find a way to score 15."

"I felt like Arch had good time in the pocket to throw it. I felt like we were moving the line of scrimmage. We were running the ball, we just didn't create explosive plays early in the game like we did in the second half of the game."

"Ultimately, not good enough. Obviously you don't want to start off the season 0-1. They're a good team. I thought we beat ourselves a lot, and that starts with me. I've got to play better for us to win."
Arch Manning

"The turnover margin continues to hold true when it relates to winning and losing football games. It was one to nothing. They took the one turnover we had and they turned it into points, so that was a seven-point swing right there. "

"My freshman year, we didn't even make a bowl game, so I saw what different cultures, how they took different losses, and I could tell we had a winning football team when I walked in that locker room [Texas']."
Michael Taaffe

"We're going to be fine. We've got work to do as a team and as an offense, but ultimately, I'm getting on the plane knowing we're going to be a good football team. We didn't win tonight. that's the life of a competitor. We went for it in a tough place against a good team. But we'll get back on the horse and we'll play good football this season."
