The Texas Longhorns have been in the SEC for less than a year. The most dominant athletic conference in the country warned the Horns that life wouldn't be as comfortable in the Southeastern Conference as it had been in the Big 12.

Yet, over the weekend, the Longhorns earned yet another conference title, adding it to their SEC trophy case, which is quickly expanding.

The No. 4 Texas men's tennis team faced the No. 13 South Carolina Gamecocks, the third-seeded team, in the conference championship and captured the SEC title in dominant fashion. With a tournament MVP performance by freshman Timo Legout and an All-Tournament by junior Sebastian Gorzny, Texas walked away with a 4-1 win over South Carolina.

Men's tennis isn't alone in securing a conference title for the University of Texas athletic department. The team joined the women's basketball team, women's soccer team, and both men's and women's swimming & diving teams in SEC titles.

As of now, the Texas men's tennis team is the only Longhorn program to secure both the regular season and postseason conference championship.
