4-star wide receiver and Duncanville, TX native Trenton Yancey has confirmed his official visit date to Texas for the weekend of June 12th-14th.
This is excellent news for Texas because they'll finally be able to get one of their top 2027 targets on campus and around the football facilities this summer.
The 5'10", 180-pound receiver has been one of the most explosive pass-catchers in the state of Texas since his freshman year at Arlington-Lamar HS before transferring to Duncanville as a sophomore. Not many 14-year-olds can come in and lead the team in receiving yards with 800+ and score 5 touchdowns, while also spending time at running back.

He has excellent speed and plays on the outside quite a bit, but his size and overall playstyle would most likely be better utilized in the slot in college. He won't be able to outrun SEC defensive backs as easily as he can at the high school level, so he'll have to rely on being effective with two-way go's at the next level. He's very twitched-up and does a decent job with head-fakes at the top of his routes, so it shouldn't be a problem for him.
Yancey plays a lot like former Longhorns WR DeAndre Moore did, and he could end up having a very similar role for Texas. If he expands on his overall route tree and sustains his athleticism, he could end up being one of the better receivers in the class by the time National Signing Day 2027 comes around. He's already ranked as the No.26 overall WR in the cycle, and he seems like a player who could jump up a few more spots in the final rankings with a big senior season in 2026.
