As reported by 247 Sports, Bryce Perry-Wright, a 5-star defensive lineman from the class of 2026 is set to reveal his college commitment this Saturday, July 5th, at 4 pm CT/5 pm ET.

Perry-Wright has officially whittled down his options to four schools: Clemson, Miami, Texas A&M, and Texas. He's currently ranked 32nd overall in the 2026 class and holds the title of 2nd-best defensive lineman in the country.

The native of Buford, Georgia, recorded 57 tackles (including 13 for loss), 17 quarterback hurries, and 9 sacks last year, according to MaxPreps. Buford High finished the season with a 12-2 record and advanced to the semifinals of Georgia's AAAAAA playoffs. Perry-Wright also had the opportunity to participate in the 2025 Navy All-American game as a junior, racking 2 pressures and 2 TFL. Other notable juniors at the All-American game included OU commit QB Bowe Bentley, potential Longhorn OT Felix Ojo, and Houston commit QB Keisean Henderson.

During his freshman and sophomore years, he was also involved in track & field. He achieved a shot put distance of 41'9" while running a 12.6 in the 100-meter dash as a 10th grader. His 26.52-second time in the 200-meter dash as a freshman turned heads amongst the scouting community as well.

It's easy to recognize Perry-Wright's track background when studying his film, especially regarding his explosiveness at 6'2", 250 pounds. Once he enters a collegiate weight room, he's expected to grow even larger. While he may not be the biggest defensive tackle right now, he compensates for it with his agility and enthusiasm. His ability to adapt to various alignments and excel in stunts will serve him well at the next level. Bryce has the potential to disrupt games and become a quarterback's worst nightmare in the future.

If the Horns can secure his commitment, it will be a fantastic addition to their 2026 class, which already features three 4-star defensive tackles: Vodney Cleveland, Dylan Berymon, and Corey Wells. Securing Perry-Wright's commitment would mean they will have a well-stocked DT room for the upcoming year.
