As the recruiting cycle for the classes of 2026 and 2027 continues to heat up, the Texas Longhorns are refusing to back down from a five-star prospect who has supposedly made up his mind about his future.

Five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman committed to the Oregon Ducks in July of this year, nearly two years before he graduates from high school.

Despite his early commitment, the Horns and head coach Steve Sarkisian are doing their best work to flip his commitment their way.

Bowman is the No. 10 wide receiver in the class of 2027 and the No. 51 overall prospect, making him an extremely desirable recruit for a number of teams. So far, he has received 32 offers from Division I programs.

Currently, Bowman is crystal-balled to flip his commitment to either the Ole Miss Rebels or Tennessee Volunteers, according to On3 and Rivals, despite him only scheduling visits with Oregon and a few other programs this fall.

Recently, Bowman shared that he plans to visit the Ducks a handful of times, but also has visits scheduled with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Volunteers. When is he visiting the Buckeyes in Columbus? Oh, that would be when Texas comes to town on Saturday.

Will Kesean Bowman visit Texas this fall?

While the young wideout doesn't have a game-day visit scheduled yet, Sarkisian and the Longhorns have the perfect opportunity to sway Bowman in their direction with a win over Ohio State this weekend.

The matchup is more than just a game; it's a chance for Texas to prove that it deserves to be the No. 1 team in the country, it's an opportunity for quarterback Arch Manning to live up to all of the hype around him, and there is the possibility for revenge.

Last year, the Horns' season was ended by the Buckeyes in the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff. Now, Texas is coming to town for the chance to exact its revenge on Ohio State.

Bowman will be on the sidelines for the rematch between the Longhorns and the Buckeyes. It's time for Texas to show him exactly what the program represents.

On Saturday, Aug. 30, Texas and Ohio State are scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. CT, with Bowman watching on. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
