The Texas Longhorns have had one of their best offseasons in a while when it comes to player acquisition, and that's apparently going to continue as they just added Michigan State transfer LB Darius Snow and 3-star 2026 DE Brinley Tita over the past two days.

Snow, from Frisco, TX, was reportedly a target early on in the transfer portal cycle, but Steve Sarkisian and Co. weren't able to lock him up. Though there's a chance he'll be limited to being a core special teamer at Texas, the team could see him as a depth-level WILL in 2026. He's a 7th-year player, having dealt with constant injury trouble as an RS sophomore and junior after suffering a season-ending knee injury in 2022.

It's important to note that he appears to be fully healthy and set to enter the year looking for a potential sub-package role if he can effectively digest the playbook after missing a good portion of spring practice.

Brinley Tita, on the other hand, is an extremely late addition to the 2026 class, and he'll most likely redshirt as a true freshman. He's rated as a 3-star DE, but he only has one other reported offer according to 247Sports.com, and that's D2 Henderson State. He was committed to Cisco JuCo earlier in the year.

The 6'2", 230-pound pass rusher from Humble, TX, has a very similar body type to that of Kosi Okpala and he could end up either sticking at DE, or moving to SAM like Okpala did for Will Muschamp. He has an excellent motor and has spent quite a bit of time on the interior for Summer Creek HS as well to create mismatches against slower offensive guards.

He finished his senior season with 94 tackles, 22 TFL, 11 sacks, 3 FF, and 1 FR and was named the District 23-6A Defensive Player of the Year.
