Anthony Hill Jr. is on the field for pregame warmups, but he's unfortunately in street clothes. Though things were apparently trending up for Hill's prospects of playing tonight for Texas, it doesn't look like he'll be suiting up for the Lone Star Showdown.

He was listed as a starter on tonight's depth chart, as well as being officially listed as a "game time decision". This truly goes to show how close he was to playing, but the pain might be too much for Hill Jr. to play through.

It's incredibly unfortunate for Hill Jr. as he'll end up playing just one SEC game at DKR in what'll more than likely be his final season at the University of Texas. He's projected to be one of the top overall defensive players in the 2026 NFL Draft, despite only being a true junior.

Through 10 games in 2025, he's amassed a total of:

- 69 tackles
- 7 tackles for loss
- 4 sacks
- 2 interceptions
- 3 forced fumbles
- 1 fumble recovery
- 1 pass deflection

With Ty'Anthony Smith also being OUT for the first half against A&M tonight, Liona Lefau, Trey Moore, and possibly even Elijah Barnes will need to step up early for DC Pete Kwiatkowski.
