After falling out of the top 25 a couple of weeks ago, Texas has finally gotten themselves back in the top 25 this week as the updated AP Poll was just released for week 8.

The Longhorns settle in at No.21 this week, which puts the cherry on top for Longhorn Nation and a Texas squad that's been searching for a much-needed morale boost within the program.

It appears as though Arch Manning has found his groove again in 2025, absolutely dominating in week 7 through the air with efficiency and touch. He seemed more prepared heading into the Red River Rivalry, and it played a pretty big part regarding his confidence in the pocket throughout the game. The fact that he was able to compete 80% of his passes against arguably the toughest defense he's faced in 2025 in a huge sign of growth as well from a mental aspect.

Though pressure was in his face quite a bit by the Sooners' top-notch defensive ends, he was able to stand tall and make accurate throws on a consistent basis.
