It's no secret that Steve Sarkisian and Co. have been doing a top-notch job in the recruiting department, and they officially joined elite company as 1 of only 7 FBS teams to land a 5-star player in each recruiting cycle since 2023.
This is pretty wild if you think about it. The amount of resilience that it takes to recruit at such a high level every year has got to be exhausting, and the fact that Texas is able to do it at such a consistent clip is incredible.

The Longhorns' coaches are definitely working harder than, and the university itself continues to have much more of an attractive aura to it than the likes of Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Michigan.
Though this isn't much of a surprise to Longhorn Nation, fans of college football around the globe were most likely pretty surprised by this graphic. In fact, I myself was incredibly surprised to not see Ohio State on the list, as they're usually among the top of the charts when it comes to recruiting rankings.
Texas' top rated recruits since 2023 are:
2026 - ATH Jermaine Bishop (5-star, 98.0 grade)
2025 - S Jonah Williams (5-star, 99.0 grade)
2024 - DE Colin Simmons (98.0 grade)
2023 - QB Arch Manning (5-star, 100.0 grade)
Needless to say, Arch Manning and Colin Simmons have already been performing like 5-stars, and Jonah Williams could be soon, depending on what he does with the baseball side of things. If Williams was 100% focused on football, there's a very real chance that he'd be competing with the likes of Derek Williams Jr. and Xavier Filsaime to start at safety in 2026.
Jermaine Bishop has the potential to see playing time at "Z" or in the slot as a true freshman, as he has elite-level athleticism and projects to have pretty good separation ability.
