Texas' first-year starting right tackle, Brandon Baker, has been absolutely dominant in 2025 and it appears as though nobody has taken notice yet.
Though he definitely had a rough start to the year against Ohio State in week one, he's consistently improved each and every week in both phases of the game. He's always been a pretty decent run-blocker, but he was having trouble with oversetting on defenders to start the year. Baker was also spotty when it came to hand placement at the point of contact against quicker pass rushers.
Now, he's seemingly corrected everything that was giving him trouble early on in the season and that can be attributed to both Baker and Texas OL coach Kyle Flood. As an offensive lineman, the details are what matters most from a pass blocking perspective and Baker has done an excellent job from technical standpoint as of late.

He's consistently grading out as one of, if not Texas' top offensive lineman each week and continues to be the Longhorns' best pass-blocker alongside Trevor Goosby on the left side.
Baker has more than enough foot speed to hang with speed rushers on the edge, he just needed to work on his pass set angles.
Being able to meet defenders at a point where it forces them to make a move rather than trying to lunge or reach for them early is where you want to be as an offensive tackle. This is what Baker had a problem with over the first few games of the season and it's a great sign that it was recognized and addressed fairly early in the season.

As mentioned earlier, Baker is continuously one of the best offensive line performers for the Longhorns each week and his play has been better than some other big name SEC offensive tackles in 2025.
If he continues to play at a high level, he'll undoubtedly be garnering some postseason recognition this.
