Though the Longhorns have already been extremely productive and successful in the 2026 recruiting class, the staff is also scouting and meeting with multiple members of their 2027 targets. Balancing time and resources between the current class and future classes is one of the hardest things to do as a program, but Steve Sarkisian seems to be doing a pretty darn good job of it, especially when it comes to quarterbacks.
Here is an updated list of the 2027 QB recruit offerees:
4-star Kavian Bryant - Westwood HS (Palestine, TX)
Bryant, a two-sport athlete, holds multiple offers in both football and basketball right now. His most sought-after trait is his dual-threat ability as a high school quarterback. He's consistently able to outrun defensive backs when plays break down and extend plays horizontally outside of the pocket to help create better passing lanes and angles for his receivers and tight ends.
His ability to create big plays by rolling out and throwing on the run helped lead Westwood deep into the Texas 3A state playoffs in 2024.

4-star Brady Edmunds - Huntington Beach HS (Huntington Beach, CA)
Though Edmunds is currently committed to Ohio State, it looks like the Longhorns' coaching staff will be keeping a close eye on him over the next two seasons. The 6'5", 215-pound signal caller has prototypical size and arm strength for the position with above-average touch and accuracy on deep balls.
He's already been compared to Justin Herbert coming out of high school, and he'll undoubtedly be on the shortlist of double-digit Power 4 programs when it's all said and done.

4-star Peyton Houston - Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, LA)
An undersized (5'11", 198 lbs.) quarterback with possibly the best running ability in the class, Houston has what it takes to be a successful FBS signal-caller as a thrower as well.
In 2024 as a sophomore, he threw for 4,480 passing yards, to go along with 38 touchdowns and 6 interceptions with a 70% completion rate. He also rushed for 690 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground to go with a 6.6 yards per carry average. Very few players in the 2027 class have the ability to score as quickly or as often as Houston has so far. It's easy to see why he's one of the most popular high school quarterbacks in the nation right now.
