4-Star Auburn DL commit Nathaniel Marshall making last-minute official visit to Texas football vs. Kentucky this week

The 6-foot-4 and 265-pound defensive lineman from Illinois, Marshall, flipped his commitment from the Michigan Wolverines to Auburn on Aug. 23. Before his pledge to Auburn in late August, Marshall was committed to Michigan since April 22.

Marshall reportedly told the Auburn coaching staff about his plans to visit Texas this weekend before making the trip out to Austin.

Texas and defensive line coach Kenny Baker offered Marshall back in September 2023. This weekend against Kentucky will be Marshall's first visit to Texas for a gameday at DKR in Austin.

Marshall ranks as the No. 55 recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite, No. 8 defensive lineman, and No. 3 from Illinois.

Texas is hosting multiple top defensive line flip targets in the 2025 class for visits for the Kentucky game on Senior Day in Week 13. With the Longhorns looking to add at least one or two more defensive tackles from high school recruiting in the 2025 class before signing day in a couple of weeks, Marshall and four-star LSU Tigers commit Zion Williams are two key defensive line flip targets to watch on the Forty Acres this weekend.

Baker and the Longhorns currently have two defensive tackles committed to the 2025 class, including Port Charlotte (FL) four-star Myron Charles and Folsom (CA) four-star Josiah Sharma.

Texas holds 23 commitments from high school recruiting in the 2025 class. The Longhorns 2025 class ranks fourth nationally in the 247Sports Composite.
