The updated SEC injury report for Texas basketball (15-10, 4-8 SEC) against the No. 15 Kentucky Wildcats (17-7, 6-5 SEC) provided updates for multiple key injured players for both teams on Feb. 15.
Three Texas basketball players, including starting F Arthur Kaluma, appear on SEC injury report for primetime Kentucky matchup this weekend
Both the Longhorns and Wildcats have players listed on the updated SEC injury report with the status of "out" or "doubtful".
Senior Texas forward Arthur Kaluma suffered a lower-body injury in Texas's loss to the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide on Tuesday night. Kaluma is listed as "doubtful" on the latest injury report update vs. Kentucky.
Kentucky has multiple starting guard listed with the status of "out" on the latest SEC injury report.
Here is the SEC injury report for Texas vs. No. 15 Kentucky at the Moody Center on Saturday night.
Texas basketball injury report vs. Kentucky
-Devon Pryor, F: Probable
-Arthur Kaluma, F: Doubtful
-Chendall Weaver, G: Out
Sophomore forward Devon Pryor looks like he is set to return to the lineup after missing Texas's last game vs. Alabama. Pryor has been dealing with a leg injury that he suffered in the second half of Texas's road game last weekend against Vanderbilt.
Having missed all but two SEC games this season, junior guard Chendall Weaver is another one of the absences for Texas's backcourt vs. Kentucky due to an injury. The last game Weaver played for the Longhorns in the SEC was against the No. 2 Auburn Tigers at the Moody Center in early January in Austin.
Kaluma missed pretty much the entire second half for the Longhorns against Alabama this past Tuesday. The team's leading rebounder and second-leading scorer, Kaluma's absence was felt down the stretch with the Longhorns losing the battle on the glass and getting outscored significantly on the offensive end vs. Bama a few days ago.
Kentucky injury report vs. Texas
-Lamont Butler, G: Out
-Jaxson Robinson, G: Out
-Kerr Kriisa, G: Out
Both of Kentucky's starting guards, redshirt seniors Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler are out due to upper-body injuries. Robinson played Kentucky's last game in a 75-64 win over the No. 5 Tennessee Volunteers on Feb. 11. Butler has missed Kentucky's last two games due to a shoulder injury.
Getting Pryor back in the lineup provides some good news in an otherwise negative injury report for the Longhorns against Kentucky this weekend. Pryor can play important minutes in the forward rotation off the bench for the Longhorns, assuming Kaluma is out tonight vs. Kentucky due to the lower-body injury.
