Texas legend Bijan Robinson helps seal 5-Star RB commitment over Georgia and Miami

Bijan Robinson spoke to the Longhorns' newest blue-chip running back commit right before he made his pledge to the University of Texas.

It was recently revealed that former Texas running back and current Atlanta Falcon, Bijan Robinson had a conversation with blue-chip RB recruit Derrek Cooper shortly before his commitment date.

For all we know, this could've been the conversation that pushed Cooper "over the edge" in terms of his final decision. On Texas Football's Gerry Hamilton confirmed the meeting of Robinson and Cooper as well in a recent tweet:

"He spoke with Bijan Robinson leading up to this decision and I think Bijan did a good job telling him why Texas was a great decision for him."

One of the best Longhorn running backs of all time speaking highly about the football program and university, probably spoke volumes to Cooper. He even mentioned on commitment day how Texas is "RBU" and that a ton of ball-carriers have been drafted lately.

He's not wrong, as running backs Keilan Robinson, Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Brooks, Roschon Johnson, Keaontay Ingram, and Jaydon Blue have all come out of Texas since 2022, and Derrek Cooper wants to be one of the next ones in line.
