There are big and lofty expectations on the shoulders of the Texas Longhorns this season. With dozens of returning stars, including the projected No. 1 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, experts have projected the Horns to make an incredible regular-season and Playoff run.

Most recently, the hype around Texas has only increased, and when On3 released its list of the top players expected to make a big impact in the sport this season, a lot of people realized just how much star power there is in Austin.

On3's 2026 College Football Impact Ratings ranked every single player in the sport well ahead of the season kicking off.

Not only was Texas the only team with four players in the top 25, but the Horns were the only team with multiple athletes in the top 10.

Texas Longhorns in On3's 2026 College Football Impact Ratings

5. Colin Simmons, EDGE
10. Cam Coleman, wide receiver
14. Arch Manning, quarterback
21. Trevor Goosby, offensive tackle
66. Rasheem Biles, linebacker
89. Melvin Siani, offensive tackle

Defensive edge rusher Colin Simmons continues to garner attention as the season flies into focus, earning the highest ranking out of the Horns. Transfer wideout Cam Coleman, who joined Texas after spending two seasons at Auburn, is the other Longhorn in the top 10.

The biggest surprise is that Texas quarterback Arch Manning isn't ranked higher. As the odds' favorite to become the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft, many would assume he'd at least be a top-five player, but much like PFF's big board, he falls out of that group.

Two of Texas's offensive linemen, Trevor Goosby and Melvin Siani, find themselves in the top-100, an extremely noteworthy fact after the struggles that the Horns' O-Line went through last season.

Rasheem Biles, who transferred to Texas after starting his collegiate career by playing for the Pitt Panthers for three years, is the other Longhorn in the top-100, ringing in at No. 66 in the national rankings.
