The Texas rowing team secured its first-ever SEC Championship, and tenth consecutive conference title, over the weekend, placing the Longhorns even farther ahead of the rest of the herd in the Southeastern Conference.

With their latest conference championship, the Horns reached a total of seven SEC titles through the 2024-25 athletic calendar, by far the most by any other athletic program in the conference.

This is just the Texas Longhorns' first season in the SEC, joining the conference alongside their rivals, the Oklahoma Sooners, over the summer of 2024.

Which SEC titles did Texas win during the 2024-25 season?

  • Women's soccer (tournament)
  • Men's swimming & diving
  • Women's swimming & diving
  • Women's basketball (regular season)
  • Men's tennis (regular season and tournament)
  • Women's rowing

To kick off Texas's winning ways, the women's soccer team stormed through the SEC Tournament to secure the Horns' first-ever SEC title. Up next, the men's and women's swimming and & diving teams both won conference titles before the men went on to win the NCAA Championship as well.

The Texas women's basketball team earned the regular-season SEC title before losing a coin toss to the South Carolina Gamecocks for the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, where the Horns would go on to lose to the Gamecocks in the conference championship game.

Men's tennis secured both the regular-season and tournament titles in the SEC. Meanwhile, the women's tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the conference tournament before losing.

There are just four conference championships remaining on the athletic calendar: the baseball regular-season title, the baseball tournament title, the men's outdoor track & field title, and the women's outdoor track & field title.

The SEC program with the second-most conference championships this season is South Carolina, which currently holds four conference titles, followed by the Oklahoma Sooners with three.
