Steve Sarkisian is living true to his motto, "All gas, no breaks." This offseason, the Texas football head coach has been on a recruiting tear as he works to build his class of 2026 prospects. Most recently, he found himself in contention for one of the top recruits, alongside a fellow SEC program.

Dre Quinn, a four-star edge rusher out of Atlanta, GA, is being heavily recruited by none other than the Georgia Bulldogs, the only team in the conference to defeat the Longhorns last season. However, both Texas and the Clemson Tigers are emerging as viable programs to land Quinn's commitment.

Quinn is currently ranked as the No. 29 athlete in the state of Georgia and the No. 31 EDGE in the class of 2026, making him an extremely attractive prospect to collegiate programs.

Rivals, a recruiting media site, reported that Clemson and Texas had both taken steps in the right direction in Quinn's recruiting process, bringing them alongside the Bulldogs in the race to earn his commitment.

Dre Quinn high school stats

  • 15 games played
  • 53 total tackles (26 solo)
  • 11.5 tackles for loss
  • 2.5 sacks
  • 1 forced fumble
  • 1 fumble recovery

During Quinn's junior season, he played on both sides of the ball for Greater Atlanta Christian High School, earning seven receptions for 129 yards through the air. Over two years of varsity football, he has been a monster on the defensive side of the ball, amassing a ridiculous number of tackles for loss at such a young age.

Currently, On3 has the Texas Longhorns with just 2.9 percent odds for signing Quinn, while the Bulldogs have a 15.1 percent chance and the Tigers have a 13.0 percent chance.
