The wins are starting to roll in with increased frequency for the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian as they look to build upon their recruiting success from the 2025 cycle.
Jermaine Bishop Jr., a four-star athlete from the class of 2026, added to the quickly strengthening class of 2026 recruits for Texas when he committed to play for the Longhorns on Wednesday, May 14.
Bishop is the No. 5 athlete in the nation and the No. 10 player out of the state of Texas, growing up just north of Houston. Now, the Longhorns lay claim to the No. 15 class in the country, climbing from No. 19 with the addition of Bishop's commitment.
Bishop is a two-sport athlete, playing both varsity football and basketball for Willis High School. For the football team, he has played three seasons on varsity so far, taking snaps on both sides of the ball and at various positions.

Not to mention his 112 total tackles, averaging more than 37 tackles per season, and innate abilities on kick returns.
