You've just got to feel bad for him. We are now less than four weeks away from the Texas football team making the trip to Columbus to take on Ohio State in what's going to be a blockbuster showdown. Unfortunately for Steve Sarkisian, though, lineman Andre Cojoe won't be out on the field.
According to multiple reports, the 6-6, 335-pounder went down with a serious knee injury at practice and it has since been confirmed that he's going to be out for the season. Just like that, his sophomore campaign is over before it could even get started:
I can confirm that Texas offensive lineman Andre Cojoe has sustained a season-ending knee injury. OnTexasFootball was the first to report.

Texas OT Andre Cojoe out for the season is terrible news for Arch Manning
Just brutal news for the youngster. This is Cojoe's third season with the program after signing with Texas in 2023. He redshirted his freshman season and didn't see any game action. Last campaign, he appeared in four games for Sark and the Longhorns.
The Texas native was in a camp battle for the starting right tackle job and he was hoping to see extensive action this fall and winter. With the Preseason Coaches Poll coming out on Monday, Texas is ranked No. 1 in the country and people are already dreaming of a natty run.
Unfortunately for Cojoe, he'll have to support his teammates from the sidelines. With him out for the year, it provides a bit of a headache for Sarkisian and Kyle Flood. Texas is replacing four of five starters up front and there just isn't a ton of experience for the group. The line needs to be at its best to keep Arch Manning on his feet and give him enough time to scan the field.
Even if Cojoe didn't win the starting job, he was expected to be a key rotational piece at a minimum and see plenty of game time. Brandon Baker is now expected to be the starting RT this campaign, but might Flood and Sark decide to mix things up with Cojoe hurt? That's unknown, but what we do know is that we'll have to wait until 2026 at the earliest to see Cojoe back in pads with Texas.
