Redshirt Sophomore offensive lineman Connor Stroh has officially told the staff that he's entering the transfer portal when it opens in January.
Though he was benched for Cole Hutson halfway through the season, Stroh was a valuable piece to Texas' offensive line in 2025. He ended up basically coming out of nowhere right before the season started and overtook Neto Umeozulu for the starting left guard spot before week one.
The 6'7", 340-pound mammoth was a 3-star recruit in 2023 out of Frisco Wakeland HS in Frisco, TX.
Texas offensive lineman Connor Stroh intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per @APSportsAgency. He started at left guard for five games for Texas this year. He’s 6-foot-7 and 345 pounds. He’ll have two years of eligibility left, and he’ll be entering as graduate transfer. pic.twitter.com/62wErJ4lrJ

Despite only starting five total games in 2025, he was still a key member and rotational player along the interior over the course of the year.
Stroh's biggest weakness while at Texas was centered around his pass blocking ability. He's always been an above-average run-blocker due to his sheer size and strength, but his pass protection needed and still needs quite a bit of work. He doesn't have the sudden footspeed that's needed to keep him in advantageous positions against quicker defensive linemen. This was one of the main reasons why Arch Manning was getting hit so much early on in the season, even against G5 opponents.
It'll be really interesting to see where Stroh ends up going, as he was recruited pretty heavily by other big schools like Texas A&M, Auburn, and Florida out of high school.
Stroh will officially enter the transfer portal in January alongside:
- RB CJ Baxter
- CB Santana Wilson
- WR Aaron Butler
- QB Trey Owens
- K Will Stone
- RB Jerrick Gibson
