Texas opens as 16.5-point favorite vs. Arkansas

No. 3 Texas football embarks on a road trip to face its historic rival, the Arkansas Razorbacks, for the first time as SEC foes this upcoming weekend. Texas and Arkansas are squaring off for the first time since 2021, where the Razorbacks bested UT 41-20 in Fayetteville.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have found significant momentum in the SEC this fall. Texas is coming off a trouncing victory by a score of 49-17 over head coach Billy Napier and the Florida Gators in Austin at DKR on Nov. 9.

Sarkisian and the Longhorns enter Week 12 as the highest-ranked team in the SEC in the AP Poll and Coaches Poll (No. 3). Texas takes on an unranked Arkansas squad on Nov. 16 in Fayetteville that is coming off a bye week.

Texas leads the all-time series against Arkansas, with a record of 53-23-0. Arkansas has won the last two matchups against the Longhorns, dating back to the 2014 season when the two teams met in the Texas Bowl.

Texas is 6-3-0 against the spread this season (per TeamRankings). Sarkisian's squad covered the spread for the first time in three games in the decisive 32-point win over Florida in Week 11.

Arkansas is also 6-3-0 against the spread this season. The Razorbacks are 4-2-0 against the spread this season as an underdog.
