Texas opens as three-score favorite vs. Kentucky

No. 3 Texas football (9-1, 5-1 SEC) has a huge game upcoming in the home finale this regular season on Nov. 23 against the Kentucky Wildcats (4-6, 1-6 SEC). Texas has all of its goals in front of the team entering the final two weeks of the regular season in SEC play.

Kentucky can present a tricky challenge for head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns in the final home game of the regular season before the Lone Star Showdown is revived during Thanksgiving week against the in-state rival Texas A&M Aggies.

Despite them only having one win in conference play in the SEC this season, head coach Mark Stoops and Kentucky have an upset win over the Ole Miss Rebels and nearly toppled the Georgia Bulldogs earlier this fall.

Texas opens up as a 20.5-point favorite over Kentucky in Week 13 (per FanDuel). The over/under is set at 47.5 points.

The moneyline favors Texas (-1600) over Kentucky (+800).

Texas is 6-4-0 against the spread this season (per TeamRankings). The Longhorns have only covered the spread once in the past four games. Against Arkansas last weekend, Texas did not cover the pregame 14.5-point spread in its 20-10 win on the road on Nov. 16.

Kentucky is also 6-4-0 against the spread this season. The Wildcats are 2-1-0 against the spread as the away team, and 2-0 as an away underdog this fall.
