The Texas Longhorns have been making life pretty hard for one specific Big Ten school, flipping their second commit from Minnesota in the last two weeks.

Walker, a 3-star RB from Georgetown HS (Georgetown, TX), has been committed to Minnesota since November 3rd. Texas RB coach Chad Scott offered Walker a scholarship on November 13th, and then he came to visit Austin on Saturday for the Arkansas game. After witnessing the bounce-back win and seeing all that the Longhorns have to offer, he decided to decommit from the Gophers and flip to Texas.

The 6'2", 215-pound bruiser is an exceptional runner between the tackles with above-average contact balance and leg churn. Despite "only" being a 3-star recruit, Walker has quite a few traits that could lead to early playing time in Austin.

His ability to contribute in all three phases of the game (rushing, receiving, pass protection) will make him one of the more complete options for Steve Sarkisian in the backfield. Besides CJ Baxter, who may or may not be with the team in 2026, the offense doesn't really have another power back. Fellow incoming true freshman Derrek Cooper has some power to him, but that's not what he should rely on.

Walker also has decent long-speed and has multiple explosive runs throughout his high school career, especially as a Junior in 2024. He's one of the team's higher-end 3-star commits for 2026, and Longhorn Nation can't wait to see him hit the field in a Texas uniform.
