As expected, Texas wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. has officially told members of the coaching staff that he plans on entering the transfer portal when it opens in January.
The junior wide receiver from Anaheim, CA, was a key cog in the Longhorns' receiving core over the past two seasons for Steve Sarkisian and Co. He combined for 77 catches, 988 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns in 2024 and 2025, while averaging 12.8 yards per reception.

Moore Jr. has been a fairly reliable target for Arch Manning in the slot, despite dropping a couple of crucial passes in 2025.
His departure leaves Texas with only Ryan Wingo, Parker Livingstone, and Emmett Mosley IV as the sole receivers with ample playing time heading into 2026. Despite this fact, the receiving core is currently chock full of blue-chip players waiting to breakout like Daylan McCutcheon, Kaliq Lockett, and Jaime Ffrench Jr. from the 2025 recruiting class.
The Longhorns will also likely bring in a transfer wide receiver or two in January, as they could value adding experience to the roster.
