This evening, Texas Women's Basketball took on the #9 LSU Tigers in the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament. After almost allowing Ole Miss to come back and beat them last night, the Longhorns looked much better tonight. They looked more composed on the court than last night against the Rebels. You could tell the Longhorns weren't phased by LSU having little leads throughout the game. The Longhorns would win 56-49 and advance to the SEC Title game against South Carolina.

Longhorns Sophomore forward Madison Booker had one masterclass of a performance tonight. She finished the game with 25 points and rarely missed a shot. She even stayed out of foul trouble for most of the game.

The Longhorns had the lead for most of the night because Booker made most of her shots. You can also credit the defense containing Aneesah Morrow and preventing her from another career performance like the one she had last night. Here are the three takeaways from tonight's game against LSU.

3. Booker couldn't be stopped tonight

Going into tonight's game against the Tigers, I was concerned about whether Booker could continue her dominance on the court after last night's win. Booker had one of her best performances tonight against the Tigers. Booker had a majority of Texas's points at halftime. At points throughout the game tonight, it felt like I was watching a throwback performance of Kevin Durant. A lot of her game showed glimpses of how Durant played the game while at Texas.

Another part of her game I enjoyed tonight was that she played smart defense. What I mean by that is that she didn't foul out like she did against Ole Miss last night. Booker couldn't afford to foul out with how some of her teammates played this evening. Booker has showed over the last couple of games why she was named the SEC Player of the Year. I can't wait to see how she tops tonight's performance against South Carolina tomorrow in the SEC Championship game.

2. Texas did a good job of containing Morrow

The Longhorns did a good job limiting LSU forward Aneesah Morrow from taking over the game. The Longhorns held her to 10 points tonight. After her record-breaking performance last night, she was the leading cause of concern for the Longhorns' defense tonight.

I thought, for the most part, the Longhorns could keep her from damaging them. It shouldn't be surprising because Vic Schaefer is a defensive genius. Texas's defense must show up in the title game to dethrone the reigning SEC Champions.

exas Women's Basketball: 1. Won the battle on the boards

Texas had to win the battle on the boards to eliminate the Tigers tonight. The Longhorns did win the rebounding battle 43-32 against the Tigers. Freshman forward Justice Carlton led the Longhorns in rebounds with eight of them.

Even though the Longhorns turned the ball over 18 times tonight, getting rebounds is why they are advancing to the SEC Championship game tomorrow against South Carolina. Sunday is a very important day for the Longhorns; it could even be a history-making day.
