It's no secret that new Texas wide receiver Cam Coleman was one of the top-ranked players in the 2026 transfer portal, but there were definitely some other incredibly impactful players in the portal as well.

On3 recently dropped its list of most impactful transfers for 2026, and it's been met with some interesting responses. First, let's dive into the actual list:

On3's "most impactful moves" list for 2026

1. WR Cam Coleman - Auburn to Texas

2. QB Sam Leavitt - Arizona State to LSU

3. DE Damon Wilson II - Missouri to Miami

4. OT Jacarrius Peak - North Carolina State to South Carolina

5. DE John Henry Daley - Utah to Michigan

6. QB Byrum Brown - South Florida to Auburn

7. QB Josh Hoover - TCU to Indiana

8. QB Brendan Sorsby - Cincinnati to Texas Tech

9. QB Darian Mensah - Duke to Miami

10. OT Jordan Seaton - Colorado to LSU

As a Texas fan, seeing Cam Coleman at No.1 is incredibly exciting and bodes well for the outlook of Longhorns football in 2026. On the other hand, is Coleman really the most impactful guy to his new team on this list?

Sam Leavitt could single-handedly bring LSU back to relevance with an effective year, and Byrum Brown might be the best quarterback that Auburn's had in a long time. It feels odd to see Coleman be ranked above those two guys, but then again, Coleman could allow Arch Manning and Texas' passing offense to explode in 2026.

His ability to win downfield with ease could be exactly what the Longhorns need to succeed going forward, and the fact that he was ranked as a 5-star both as a recruit and transfer also helps his case overall.

It's going to be interesting to see if Steve Sarkisian decides to move him around the formation in 2026 or just keeps him on the outside at "X".
