Golden was seen heading to the sideline after the play where he was called for a facemask penalty as a blocker for a screen play to junior running back Jaydon Blue. He went into the medical tent with a Texas staff member on the sideline shortly after.

Orangebloods' Anwar Richardson reported that Golden was taken to the locker room after being taken into the medical tent in the first half against Ohio State.

Before exiting the game with an injury, Golden had one catch for 24 yards on an acrobatic catch made with one hand while he was being tied up by the Ohio State defensive back in the first quarter.

Later in the first half, Golden was back on the sideline for Texas after getting checked out for what looked like a lower-body injury.
