The updated SEC-mandated injury report was released on Thursday night (Oct. 24), showing a handful of key updates for No. 5 Texas football and the No. 25 Vanderbilt Commodores.

Texas football reportedly expected to start Ryan Wingo at WR vs. Vanderbilt

The most significant update to the injury report for the Longhorns on Oct. 24 was the status of junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond, who was downgraded from "doubtful" to "questionable". It's also noteworthy that the Longhorns removed sophomore running back Quintrevion Wisner from the injury report after he was listed on yesterday's report as "probable".

Inside Texas reports on Oct. 24 that Wingo is expected to start at wide receiver for the Longhorns this weekend against Vanderbilt, with Bond now listed as "doubtful" on the updated injury report.

This weekend will be a chance for Texas skill weapons like Wingo, Wisner, senior wide receiver Silas Bolden, junior Matthew Golden, sophomore DeAndre Moore Jr., and senior tight end Gunnar Helm, to step up for the offense against Vanderbilt.

Wingo has been one of Texas's top weapons in the receiving game. He's been Texas's most explosive receiver, leading the team in yards per catch (19.3) and total explosive plays. Wingo has made an immediate impact on Texas's offense this season, registering 16 catches for over 300 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.

Bond has been Texas's leading receiver this season, and the top red zone target for quarterback Quinn Ewers and the Longhorns' offense. He's registered 23 catches this season for 380 receiving yards and four touchdown catches. Bond has also rushed for 51 yards on two carries and one rushing score.

Bond has been dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered against the Oklahoma Sooners in the win in the Red River Rivalry game a couple of weekends ago. He was limited in last weekend's game against the Georgia Bulldogs at DKR.
