It's hard to beat any team twice in the regular season, not to mention beating Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers twice during your first season in the SEC.

The Texas women's basketball team already pulled off an impressive win over the Tigers when the Longhorns defeated the then-No. 5 LSU squad 65-58 in the regular season. However, now, Texas has to defeat the No. 9 Tigers to advance to the championship of the SEC Tournament.

In the first matchup, Texas had to come from behind, after trailing by nine points at halftime, in order to defeat the Tigers by a meager seven points. Now, LSU is on a revenge tour as they take on the Horns in the semifinal round of the conference tournament.

The Tigers demolished the Florida Gators in the quarterfinals with a 101-87 victory in order to advance to the semifinals. Meanwhile, Texas eked past the Ole Miss Rebels with a 70-63 win.

One big piece missing from the LSU lineup is star guard Flau'Jae Johnson, who was a massive piece of the Tigers' postseason run last year. Johnson was ruled out for the entire tournament ahead of the team's tipoff on Friday, but despite LSU missing its leading scorer, the Tigers seemed just fine.

How to watch Texas women's basketball vs. LSU

The Tigers are never an easy team to surpass, especially when they're led by head coach Kim Mulkey in the postseason. However, Vic Schaefer's No. 1-ranked squad might just be able to pull off the victory.

Texas and LSU are scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. CT from Greenville, South Carolina. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
