It's no secret that Cam Coleman is set to have an incredibly productive year in 2026 for the Longhorns, but that idea got even more pronounced with On3's list of breakout stars for next season.

The moment that Coleman decided to commit to Texas in the transfer portal, both the coaching staff and fanbase alike erupted with excitement, as Coleman was undoubtedly the No.1-ranked wide receiver in the portal. Not only that, but he was one of the top overall players available as well.

Here's the full list of players who made the cut for On3's breakout players in 2026:

1. WR Cam Coleman - Texas
2. QB Drew Mestemaker - Oklahoma State
3. WR Micah May - Florida
4. TE Jamari Johnson - Oregon
5. OT Trevor Goosby - Texas
6. QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele - California
7. WR Chris Henry Jr. - Ohio State
8. DB Ty Benefield- LSU
9. DE Trey White - Texas Tech
10. DE Luke Wafle - USC

It's excellent to see Trevor Goosby on the list as well, but it seemed like he had his breakout season in 2025, seeing as he was one of the best left tackles in college football in his first full year as a starter.

Regardless, it seems like Coleman is being added to more and more lists as we get closer to the season, and he'll undoubtedly be named to a lot more by the national media soon such as the preseason All-SEC and All-American lists.

It's going to be interesting to see how Coleman is used in 2026 and beyond. Will he be more of a deep threat, or will Steve Sarkisian rely on his separation skills in the short-to-intermediate range? Both Coleman and Ryan Wingo have the speed to stretch the field, but Cam Coleman is the more polished route runner, so he could end up being the target hog next season.

A 70+ catch-type of season wouldnt be surprising at all for Coleman in 2026.
