It's official, the Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX on February 8th at Levi's stadium in Santa Clara, CA. It was exciting for Longhorn Nation to be rooting for all of the former Texas players in the conference championship games yesterday, and now they'll be able to support a few of them in the Super Bowl.
Former Longhorns stand out on both championship teams
Brenden Schooler ('21) has been the MVP of the Patriots' special teams units since he joined New England as an undrafted free agent in 2022. Not only has he been an above-average player, he's on pace to be one of the greatest NFL special teams players of all time.
Not many players can make a career out of being an All-Pro special teams player, but Schooler has so far. He was selected to PFWA's All-Rookie team in 2022, and has made the Pro Bowl/All-Pro teams in both 2024 and 2025.
A former Longhorn WILL win a Super Bowl! 🤘

Michael Dickson ('17) has been one of the best punters in the league and was drafted incredibly high for the position (5th round) in 2018. He's consistently averaged a whopping 49+ yards per punt over the past three seasons.
Byron Murphy ('23) was drafted in the first round by the Seahawks in 2024, and has been one of the "hottest" up-and-coming defensive tackles in the league. He's been absolutely dominant on the interior for Seattle in 2025, wreaking constant havoc each and every week for opposing offenses.
Quandre Diggs ('14) has been an incredibly productive player over his 12-year NFL career, both as a starter and sub-package player for the Lions, Titans, and Seahawks. He made three consecutive Pro Bowls in 2021, 2022, and 2023 for Seattle and has racked up over 340 tackles and 18 interceptions for the PNW team. Diggs is currently on the practice squad, but he could be activated for the Super Bowl.
Kickoff is set for "roughly" 5:30pm CST/6:30pm EST on February 8th.
