6. Maurice Evans (2000-01)

86-221 (38.9%), 2.5 FG3/G

All-Big 12 Third-Team wing Maurice Evans made the most of his one season at Texas. Evans was the leading scorer for a Texas team for the 2000-01 season under Barnes that won 25 games.

Evans' versatility on offense to be able to create offense in so many different ways on that end of the floor established him as a respected scorer in the Big 12. He won off the dribble and pulling up from beyond the arc with his confidence on the offensive end as a primary facilitator.

Evans ranked third in the Big 12 in three-point field goal percentage (38.9) and second in three-point field goals (89). He ranks in the top 10 in program history in a single-season three-point field goal percentage, making over 75 three-pointers.

5. D.J. Augustin (2006-2008)

119-296 (40.4%), 1.6 FG3/G

D.J. Augustin is one of the greatest point guards in the history of the Texas basketball program. AP and Sports Illustrated named Augustin a First-Team All-American guard for Texas in the 2007-08 season.

While Augustin was mostly known for his playmaking and ability to distribute the basketball to his star teammates at Texas, like Kevin Durant and Damion James, another critical component to his game was spacing the floor and effectively creating his own offense.

Augustin became the fifth player all-time at Texas to score 1,000 points and make 100 three-point field goals (while shooting over 35 percent from distance for his career).
