Transfer portal season is finally here, and 24 Texas players have thrown their names into the 2026 transfer pool.
The newly modified 2026 transfer portal window officially opened on January 2nd and ends on January 16th. There is now only one 15-day portal window, but it's important to note that players DO NOT have to sign/commit to their new teams by the 16th. They just have to enter the portal within that time frame. The only exception is for the players on the two CFP national-championship teams playing Jan 19, and they'll have an additional 5-day period — January 20th-24th — to enter the portal after their season ends.
