Transfer portal season is almost here, and there are currently 9 Texas players who're planning on entering when it opens next month.
The newly modified 2026 transfer portal window officially opens on January 2nd and ends on January 16th. There is now only one 15-day portal window, and all players have to sign with their new teams by end of day on the 16th. The only exception is for the players on the two CFP national-championship teams playing Jan 19, and they'll have an additional 5-day period — January 20th-24th — to enter the portal after their season ends.
