It was recently announced that both Arch Manning and Quintrevion Wisner have been named to this year's Maxwell Award watch list. The award is given to the best, all-around college football player in the nation each season.

The past five winners are:

2024 - RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State

2023 - QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington

2022 - QB Caleb Williams, USC

2021 - QB Bryce Young, Alabama

2020 - WR DeVonta Smith, Alabama

Wisner is one of the best, all-around running backs in the nation and the only returning 1,000-yard rusher in the SEC this year. Manning is currently still the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy, and he's undoubtedly one of the most intriguing players in all of football right now.

Both of these players certainly have what it takes to be the best player in the nation, and they'll get a chance to show it first on August 30th in a revenge game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
