College Football Report released their SEC All-2020's Team yesterday, and there are some incredibly dominant names listed like Georgia's Brock Bowers and Alabama's Pat Surtain II and Will Anderson. Former Texas All-Americans Kelvin Banks Jr. and Jahdae Barron were also on the list, as both players were incredibly productive since arriving on campus in Austin.
Kelvin Banks Jr. was only at Texas for three seasons, but he was the face of the Longhorns' offensive line from 2022-2024. He was a three-time All-Conference player and a two-time All-American in 2022 and 2024. He also won the Lombardi Award (nation's top offensive lineman) and the Outland Trophy (nation's top overall offensive or defensive lineman) last season.
He was one of the nation's most dominant run-blockers at offensive tackle, consistently eliminating his assigned defender in the run game. Banks Jr. was coached very well at Texas, and it was evident in his play throughout each snap. His technical prowess enabled him to redirect momentum and gain advantageous leverage angles on gap/power plays, as well as down blocks. His pass protection was his "weakest" attribute, but he did a nice job of improving over his final two years at Texas. He just needs to work on his anchor at the NFL level, which should be a pretty easy fix with Brendan Nugent as his OL coach in New Orleans this year.

Jahdae Barron spent five total seasons at Texas from 2020-2024, and once he began to see the field more often in 2022, he was absolutely dominant. The three-time All-Conference cornerback and 2024 All-American won the Jim Thorpe Award last season as the nation's top defensive back.
Barron was lockdown in coverage over the past three seasons, leading opposing offenses to shy away from his side of the field. One of his most impressive traits is his overall hand usage at the point of attack. He does a great job in press as a nickel/slot corner, and he's always swiping and punching at the ball at the catch point.
He has excellent instincts and play recognition as well, sometimes seemingly running the opposing wide receiver's routes for them like he already knew what they were doing. This also shows that he was a consistent film-watcher, because the only way that happens is if you study your opponents and learn the players' tendencies. He's currently penciled in to start for the Broncos in 2025 opposite NFL Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain II.
