BetMGM updated it's College Football National Championship odds this morning, and Texas' odds of +3000 to actually make it to and win the big game is incredibly high compared to what some fans might think it should be as of right now.
The road the Longhorns have to even make it to the playoffs in general is pretty hard, seeing that at the very least they'll have to go 2-1 over the final three games of the season against No.5 Georgia, Arkansas, and No.3 Texas A&M. There's a chance, depending on how the other top teams finish the season, that they may even have to win out to be considered. A 9-3 Texas team would most likely be considered, but nothing is certain when it comes to the College Football Playoffs Selection Committee.

Though Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns' offense have been performing a lot better as of late, they'll be facing a really tough defense on Saturday night in Athens. The Bulldogs have been incredibly good against the run, only allowing ball-carriers to average 3.3 yards per carry in 2025. Georgia has only allowed opposing offenses to average 5.0 yards per play in general this season, which is also ranked within the top half of the league.
If Texas is going to upset the Bulldogs this weekend, they'll need to play better than they have all season long on both sides of the ball, and for all 60 minutes.
