Pregnon has also reportedly visited Knoxville and Eugene to see the Tennessee Volunteers and Oregon Ducks, respectively.

It's out of the ordinary for offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns to shop around in the NCAA Transfer Portal for help in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball. Flood and the Longhorns have stuck to their guns of recruiting and developing high school offensive linemen over bringing in plug-and-play/one-year rentals from the transfer portal over the past few years.

Pregnon started all 38 games he played during his collegiate career. He started his career in college with the Wyoming Cowboys, where he took a COVID redshirt in 2020 and met the four-game eligibility requirement to preserve another year of eligibility in the 2021 season.

When Pregnon earned a starting spot along Wyoming's offensive line in the 2022 season, he earned Freshman All-American honors and was one of the highest-graded pass blockers in the Mountain West (per PFF).

Pregnon didn't allow a single sack at USC in the past two seasons. He was the highest-graded pass blocker on USC's interior O-Line in the 2024 season.

He is one of over 20 USC players who have entered the transfer portal in the winter window for this offseason for 2025. Pregnon is one of five offensive linemen to leave USC for this offseason via the transfer portal.

Texas is expected to lose at least two out of three starting interior offensive linemen due to the NFL Draft next spring and exhausted eligibility. Junior starting guard DJ Campbell also has an impending NFL Draft decision for 2025.
