Texas A&M proved its SEC title contender status last weekend with the impressive 15-point win over LSU at home. The Aggies' offense was electric with Reed running the show as a dynamic dual-threat quarterback.

After LSU put up 17 points on a few nice scoring drives in the game's first 25 minutes, Texas A&M's defense really clamped down on the Tigers' rushing attack. LSU only rushed for 24 yards on 23 carries against the Aggies' vaunted defensive front.

Can the Aggies get one step closer to bolstering its College Football Playoff resume and SEC Championship Game path this weekend against South Carolina in Week 10 is the big question for head coach Mike Elko. According to the Allstate Playoff Predictor, Texas A&M has well over a 50 percent chance of making the Playoff if it defeats South Carolina in Week 10.

Quarterback Quinn Ewers and the Longhorns staved off an upset bid from Vanderbilt in Nashville in a close contest that came down to the final minutes of the fourth quarter in Week 9. But this game wasn't as pretty as it looked like it would be when Texas was making a big run around the final few minutes of the first half.

Texas has some areas that need to be addressed on both sides of the ball before a difficult stretch of rivalry games on the road in mid-to-late November and the Florida game on Nov. 9 at home.

Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart are looking to prove they are the top Dawgs in the SEC this weekend against rival Florida in the Cocktail Party in Jacksonville, FL. The Dawgs were off last week to prepare for Florida and dynamic freshman dual-threat quarterback DJ Lagway.
