After the bye week, the Vanderbilt Commodores and head coach Clark Lea face a sliding LSU squad that hasn't won a game since mid-October in the SEC. Vandy has already secured bowl eligibility, but it can cap off an impressive regular season in the SEC potentially with wins over LSU and/or Tennessee in the final two weeks of the 2024 campaign in conference play.

The wheels have really started falling off for Kelly and the Tigers in the past couple of weeks. Not only has LSU lost three games in a row (including to an unranked foe in Florida this past weekend), but Kelly has also formed an open rift with him and his players yelling at each other back and forth this week.
LSU's defense looks completely lost at times, and the secondary is pretty devoid of talent compared to what you would come to expect from a Tiger defensive backfield for the past few decades. Offensively, this unit has lost all of its momentum it had in the regular season's first half.

In yet another game that came down to the wire, Mizzou got burned this time with a close loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks over the weekend, 34-30. Mizzou's defense gave up over 450 total yards of offense and seven yards per play to the Gamecocks, including over 350 passing yards and five passing touchdowns.
Closing out the regular season against Mississippi State and Arkansas over the next two weeks, it seems very plausible that Mizzou reaches eight or nine wins before the postseason.

Head coach Billy Napier and Florida achieved their first ranked win of the regular season, toppling LSU at home by double digits in Gainesville last weekend. With freshman quarterback DJ Lagway back in the lineup against LSU, Florida showed a lot of spirit and energy playing for Napier, and getting one win closer to bowl eligibility.
Florida has a difficult contest ahead this week at home against No. 9 Ole Miss.
