Head coach Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers got the bye week to regroup and prepare for an important road trip in the SEC this upcoming weekend against the No. 19 Mizzou Tigers in Columbia. Can the Auburn offense get it together for a Mizzou team that has looked disjointed at times this season, especially against P4 competition and in SEC play?

Last weekend was so close to being the marquee rival victory that head coach Billy Napier needed to keep some of the heat off of him from the Florida Gators faithful, falling to the No. 8 Tennessee Volunteers in overtime at Neyland Stadium on Saturday night.
The injury to senior quarterback Graham Mertz could be very costly for the Gator offense, depending on the amount of time he misses in SEC play.

The South Carolina Gamecocks had another brutal one-score defeat in SEC play last weekend in their upset bid against the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. Head coach Shane Beamer's squad couldn't convert on a late-game onside kick with a chance to take the lead with a possible game-winning field goal.
Two out of three losses for the Gamecocks in SEC play have come by a combined margin of five points. With how difficult South Carolina's upcoming schedule looks, including three ranked opponents and also road contests against quality opponents in the Oklahoma Sooners and Vanderbilt Commodores will test their fight for the rest of the regular season.

Oklahoma was overmatched last weekend in the Red River Rivalry game in a convincing 34-3 loss against No. 1 Texas football. The same problems showed up for head coach Brent Venables and the Sooners against the Longhorns over the weekend, with a tragic offense and getting beat at the line of scrimmage keeping OU out of the end zone completely.
It doesn't seem like it matters at this point who the Sooners try out at quarterback, even though freshman Michael Hawkins has played pretty well given the circumstances.
