Week 9 SEC conference power rankings
SEC football provided another weekend of big-time results and exciting finishes around the conference. With nearly all SEC teams in action in Week 8 of the regular season, this week's power rankings had big chances to shift across all tiers in the conference for the different teams.
No. 1 Texas football's loss to No. 5 Georgia shakes up the top of this week's SEC football power rankings for Week 9
There were also a handful of surprises around the SEC last weekend for Week 8. No. 1 Texas football fell to the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs in a humbling double-digit loss for head coach Steve Sarkisian's squad in primetime at home in Austin at DKR.
We also saw near upsets of the Mizzou Tigers against the Auburn Tigers at home in Columbia, and the Vanderbilt Commodores took until later in the second half to pull away for a closer-than-expected 10-point victory over a G5 opponent in the Ball State Cardinals at home.
