So much has gone wrong for the Auburn Tigers and head coach Hugh Freeze's ability to manage games late in clutch time in the fourth quarters. Auburn had a chance to seal a victory last weekend in a potential upset scenario on the road in Columbia against Mizzou during their Homecoming.

Alas, Auburn couldn't find the answer on offense and conceded a four-point defeat to stay winless in conference play.

. Week 8 Result: 34-24 loss vs. Texas A&M. 530. . 1-6 (0-4 SEC). . Miss St. 14. .

In the past few weeks, there have actually been some pretty encouraging signs regarding the level of play on the field from the Mississippi State Bulldogs. First-year head coach Jeff Lebby's squad was within striking distance of the Texas A&M Aggies and Georgia (two very good and ranked squads in the SEC) in the second half in the last two games.

True freshman quarterback Michael Van Buren Jr. keeps getting better for Mississippi State's offense, registering nearly 250 passing yards and three passing touchdowns last weekend against A&M's defense.

. . 3-4 (1-4 SEC). Week 8 Result: 48-20 loss @ Florida. . . 528. . 13. Kentucky

Last week: 8 (-5)

The Kentucky Wildcats struggled on both sides of the ball in a convincing loss last weekend to the Florida Gators and head coach Billy Napier. Kentucky's offense was inconsistent again and unable to move the chains effectively. The Wildcats were outgained through the air and on the ground by the Gators in a decisive four-score loss on their home turf.

. Florida. . . 4-3 (2-2 SEC). 526. . . Week 8 Result: 48-20 win vs. Kentucky. 12

Last week: 14 (+2)

Napier and the Gators have some juice heading into the bye week. Not only have the Gators won three of its last four games, but it also gets the bye week at a good time before facing Georgia in the World's Largest Cocktail Party in Jacksonville in Week 10.
