The version of Texas A&M that was unable to pull away from its opponents as a double-digit pregame favorite in the betting spread last week showed up again in a closer-than-expected contest against Mississippi State.

Since Texas A&M is the only SEC team that has played four games while going undefeated in conference play, it's hard to ignore this team's chances to make the Playoff this postseason.

This upcoming weekend should be an entertaining battle between the SEC's two remaining undefeated teams in LSU and Texas A&M.

Texas was handily defeated in the trenches on both sides of the ball last weekend by the Dawgs at home in Austin at DKR. There were some serious problems for the Longhorns on offense, especially with the lack of ability for quarterback Quinn Ewers to keep the chains moving in the first half.

Sarkisian and the Longhorns have some work to do to avoid a second-straight loss in SEC play when they travel to Nashville this weekend for a tough contest on the road against Vandy.

Last week: 2 (+1)

This looked like the version of Georgia that we were used to seeing in the trenches, especially on the defensive side of the ball, with how it played at the line of scrimmage last weekend in a beatdown of the Longhorns in Austin. Georgia's ground game was pretty good, as Trevor Etienne powered his way to three rushing scores for the UGA offense.

Georgia is off this week, as it gets the chance to rest up and prepare for Florida in the Cocktail Party in a couple of weekends.
