While it's still months away, college football fans are already looking forward to the upcoming season, which won't kick off until the end of August. With spring practices underway and the transfer portal as hectic as ever, the excitement of college football is starting to mount once again.
Once summer hits and the news cycle slows a bit, there is one thing for fans to look forward to: conference media days. This year, the Texas Longhorns are heading into their second season as a part of the SEC, which means head coach Steve Sarkisian and a few of his players will once again join the rest of the SEC in July.
So, when can fans hear what the Horns have to say at their media day? Well, in the middle of April, the SEC released its 2025 Football Media Days appearance schedule.

Sarkisian and the Horns will be joined by Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs (the only SEC team to defeat Texas last season), Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers, and Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers.
Last year, Sarkisian brought quarterback Quinn Ewers, offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., and defensive back Jahdae Barron to the SEC Media Days ahead of Texas's first season in the conference.
In 2024, Texas finished the regular season with an 11-1 record before losing to Georgia in the SEC Championship game. The Longhorns then went on to defeat the Clemson Tigers and the Arizona State Sun Devils in the first two rounds of the College Football Playoffs before losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes (who went on to win the National Championship) in the semifinal game.
